This is a multimedia interactive installation that uses modern technology to reconnect human beings with the ancient bonds of the natural world through various hands rituals, thereby creating a multi-sensory experience.
In societies that worshipped multiple gods, humanity's reverence for nature far exceeded the detached attitudes prevalent in today's rational societies. The consumption and control of nature in modern capitalist settings, along with the demystification of the natural world, have intensified our greed for natural resources. This is reflected in the fragmentation and disruption of harmony in the world around us.In this project, I aim to find new expressions and embodiments of ancient natural worship and animism in contemporary society.
By leveraging modern technology as a digital shaman, participants can perform rituals that facilitate communication with natural spirits (represented in this installation by trees).Through this project, I hope to inspire viewers to reconsider how humans coexist with other non-human entities in the age of the Anthropocene and understand our role within these relationships.
